To be eligible for selection, a student must:

Be a high school senior who has exemplified community involvement in the County of Erie. Preference will be given to students who assist in the emergency services and are matriculating in the Emergency Services fields of Fire or EMS.

Provide a grade transcript verifying a "C" average throughout high school.

Be a resident of an area served by a Volunteer Fire Company.
