AMVETS Post 897 Scholarship

Criteria to Apply:

Must be a family member of an AMVETS Post 897 member who is in good standing. The member has to be affiliated with the AMVETS, Sons of AMVETS or the Ladies Auxiliary of Post 897.

Family member is a son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter. Family member does not need to be blood related, but must be part of the family. They can be foster, adopted or a step child. 

To be considered for the Scholarship Award, the candidate must have at least a B average and be well rounded. 

The candidate must submit in writing a paper introducing themselves, explain what they are doing, where they plan to attend college and what they hope to accomplish along with the completed application.  A high school transcript and copy of acceptance from the college of your choice must be included.
